5 Conclusions and future work

We have achieved the goal set out in our earlier paper [ 17 ]. This was to develop a deformable surface with arbitrary topology. We have developed a scheme for rapid computation. The matrices and software implementing the calculation of the vectors will be made publically available [ 16 ].

Considerable work remains. Slime can be applied in many application domains. More importantly it opens up a variety of questions relating to the extraction and manipulation of mesh topology.
